Birstall Bowling Club extends a very warm welcome to all - especially those that are visiting this site for the first time.

CLUB OPEN DAYS: The club will be holding it's Annual Open day again as part of the Bowls' Big Weekend 202.

It was a great success last year and we hope this years event will be as well attended. Thank you to all those turned last year and welcome those that didn't join the club to give it another go.

Our Club survives because of our volunteers - many thanks for your continued support.

Our Club has been at the heart of the local community now for 77 years and is next to the main Car Park in the centre of Birstall, a village in the Charnwood Area of Leicestershire and our season runs from 8th April to the 30th September October 2024

We have three weekly club days during the season currently Monday pm, Tuesday & Friday evenings when we welcome club members as well as those wishing to give it a go.

The club started with just two rinks on some old grass tennis courts behind a house on Park Road, moving to its current site, on the Birstall Playing fields, in May 1957. We are very proud of the standard of our green and facilities, believing it to be one of the best in the County.

Bowls is certainly a sport for all, a sport where everyone can achieve enjoyment at a level to suit yourself.  You will find a group of like-minded and friendly people at all levels of ability. Our qualified coaching team will welcome you into the Club and provide you with 4 free coaching sessions to help you develop the necessary skills and knowledge, so that you master the basics of the game.

The Club offers a range of membership options to suit all abilities and ages.
